Angelia Nañez Burruss serves as the University of Georgia’s Clery Act Compliance Officer.  In this role, she works collaboratively with various offices at the University to facilitate the institution’s compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act and associated regulations.  She focuses on partnering with resources across campus to develop and implement policies, programs, and activities that support the safety, security, and well-being of our community.

After completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Criminal Justice and Sociology in 2014, she began her career as a University of Georgia Police Officer until 2018. In 2018, Angelia left to become an Academic Advisor at Kennesaw State University and to complete her master’s degree in Public Administration.
